This is one of my favourite salad recipes because it's so straightforward, delightful, and hearty. Add 1/2 cup of cooked brown rice for more sustenance. You can use a straightforward soy sauce and sesame oil dressing or use a keep bought dressing of your decision.

Components

Marinated Tofu

Dressing:

Salad

Directions

  1. Preparing THE TOFU:

In a shallow dish combine with each other all of the marinade substances, add the tofu, combine, and retailer in the fridge. The tofu must be permitted to marinate for at least an hour. The longer you marinate the much more flavourful the tofu will turn out to be. For tips on pressing and marinating tofu, read through the 4 Part Tofu Tutorial. Following your tofu has marinated, heat about one-2 tsp of oil in a skillet in excess of medium substantial heat. Add your cubes of tofu and cook until finally golden brown on all sides. When browned, set aside. You can select no matter whether to leading your salad with the tofu while it’s sizzling or chilled (I like it each methods!) Decide on to either chill the tofu, or preserve it warm as your prepare your salad.

ASSEMBLING THE SALAD:

Whilst your tofu is cooking or chilling, commence getting ready your salad. In a huge bowl, add spinach and top with brown rice (optional) followed by grated carrot, sliced cucumber, chopped tomato, green onion, avocado, and then the tofu. If consuming right away, drizzle with about 1/two tbsp of soy sauce and tiny bit of sesame oil.

I’ve manufactured lots of variations of this salad, and you need to really feel cost-free to perform with what ever vegetables you have on hand. I do find the mixture of spinach, avocado, and marinated tofu to be really delicious, and unless you really don’t like avocado I’d make confident to consist of it in the recipe. Utilizing soy sauce and sesame oil is a truly tasty dressing that’s low cost and effortless but you could simply use any variety of Thai or Asian-fashion shop-bought dressing rather (I’ve also utilized a shop bought balsamic vinaigrette and it tastes fantastic as well!)
